2010 WESCO Select / Division III Tryouts
WESCO Select FAQs

(Recreational / Division IV sign-ups will be held in April and May.)

Tryout dates have been set for the WESCO Competitive teams ("Division 3").  Players who do not attend a least one of the try-outs may not play on a "Select" team. 

Division 3 play is for players who are committed to advanced skills development, who enjoy tournament play and who will play a somewhat longer season than recreational ("Div. 4") play.  Typically, one-half of all Select games are played in Sebastopol, and one-half are played in towns within a 1-hour travel radius of Sebastopol.  Div. 3 teams play in 2 "away" tournaments plus our "home" event in Sebastopol.  (U-10s do not play in tournaments but may attend a Jamboree).  We encourage ALL PLAYERS to attend tryouts; if you are selected for Div. 3 play, you can still decide to remain in recreation program if you prefer!

Please Note: Parents will be required to sign forms and should plan to check in with their player.

Players are asked to wear WHITE shirts and bring a water bottle.

Cleats and shin guards are mandatory.

Come to tryouts ready to play your best. Having played Select in the past in no way assures a player a spot on a team. Attendance at one of the above tryouts is mandatory, no exceptions. By attending both tryout dates, your higher rating will be used. Players will be evaluated on skills, field awareness, speed, aggressiveness, attitude and commitment to play at this level (committing to attend at least 2 practices/week, all league and tournament games).
