Monitor Training:August 12th, 2010 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the WCU office.
We often are in need of Monitors for the U-8 games. Monitors are
used instead of Referees for U-8 Division 4 / Recreational games. No scores are
kept and no "cards" are issued. This is an excellent opportunity for young
players to reinforce their knowledge of the game as well as earn some money. It
is also a great way to prepare for the Referee Training in order to obtain the
USSF Referee License.
Parents should be present for the hour. Monitors need to bring
whistles, a watch to keep time, a pen and a small notepad.

Referee Refresher Course:
Make sure you are currently registered
with USSF and have taken a refresher course to be current. WESCO’s refresher
course will be held on August 7, 2010 from 9am-3pm at Brook Haven School. Cost
is $10. Please let us know if you’ll be attending so we are sure to have
sufficient materials. Email

West County United is only able to operate with parent volunteer help and support. The large of amount of work
necessary to make this a successful recreational soccer league is only possible with active,
supportive volunteers. We always need more help! Typically it
is the same small group of volunteers that provide the majority of the support.
Please help out - in any capacity - if possible. We have many tasks small
and large and
will find one that fits your available time and energy. Call or email the West County United office
if you can help! It will be as rewarding to you as it will be for the league!
