Rec Volunteer Opportunities
WESCO United is a volunteer run organization. In order for the league to run smoothly, it is important to have as many parent volunteers as possible. Please look through the volunteer opportunities and decide where you will be able to assist.
Head Coach and Assistant Coach

Sponsor our Rec League
Sponsor our Rec league or a specific Rec team by filling out the Rec Sponsor form.
Sponsor Finder
Find a sponsor for your Rec team.
Team Parent/Manager
Assist the coach with the management of the team, organizing additional information, and communicating with the parents. Order the team banner.
Pre-Season Field Preparation
Before the season, assist with field preparations to get them ready for soccer.
During Season Field Preparation
During the season, prepare the field for play before games and take down equipment after games. Set-up and take down the team banner for each game.
Clean-up Duty
During the season, check the fields after each practice and game for debris, garbage, water bottles, etc.
Harvest Cup Volunteer
Assist with volunteer jobs necessary to run the Harvest Cup Tournament at the end of the Rec season.
Rec Committee
Join the committee that plans and runs the Rec season, including evaluations and the Harvest Cup. If you are interested, please email soccer@sonic.net.
Referee
Referees are an essential part of the Rec season and we are always in need of more qualified referees. Referees are a paid position and are required to obtain a license by taking an official course (there is a $75 fee to take the course). You must be 13 or older to become an official referee.
Youth Monitor
For our U8 division, we use paid youth Monitors to officiate the games. Many times this is the first job a child will have! Monitors must be 11 years old and if you are interested in become a Monitor for the Rec season, please fill out the form. You will be required to attend one training before the start of games.
